When we mediate on the great sacrifice Jesus made for each of us on the cross our hearts are overwhelmed. Yet, while we will be eternally grateful for our Savior, we often forget to acknowledge that Someone else participated in the payment for our sins.
The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son... " John 3:16. Though the concept of God the Father is beyond our earthly understanding, the term "Father" helps us to understand the special and unique relationship the Godhead shares.
What an amazing sacrifice on the Father's part, to send His beloved Son to die for our sins. On this Father's Day, may we not forget to honor our Heavenly Father in the same way His Son constantly did, even teaching us to pray: "Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name."
And, may we all show appreciation this month to our earthly fathers who give of themselves for the sake of their children. We hope this free song download of 'The Our Father' will be a blessing to you and yours.

A Child's New Year's Prayer and Resolution |
|
A resolution is something we promise ourselves that we will do.
For example:
"With God's help, I promise to do my best to pray more for my family."
or
"With God's help, I promise to do my best to be friendly to others at school."
Ask God to help you decide what your resolution should be this year. Then, pray for His help to see it through.
Now, here is the fun part!

A hand-colored message from a child is such a wonderful way to spread the joy of Christmas. The children might color them and take them to retirement communities to encourage the elderly, send them to a soldier who can't be home this Christmas, or maybe even insert them into your family's Christmas cards.
